About Community Action
OUR MISSION is to lead the way to eliminate the conditions of poverty
and create opportunities for people and communities to thrive. That is
what we do everyday at Community Action.
As the largest private nonprofit social service agency addressing issues
of poverty in Washington County, we annually respond to more than
30,000 requests for assistance from families in need.
When families can see a vision for their future and have access to the
right services at the right time, they have the ability to successfully
transition out of poverty. This is what we witness every day at
Community Action.
